Random Thoughts

I know I am slow to update things as of late.... my brain seems to be malfunctioning. However, here are a few pics of some of our latest adventures.

Zoo Escapades
--Caleb loves to go to the zoo to see all the animals. For member night he was able to get up close and personal with several animals. A blue tongued skink, a possom, and a turtle. He also loves to pet the goats and pigs. We also got a chance to feed the birds...Caleb was a little afraid of them, but it was way neat to do!

Curtis Orchards
-- We took a trip out to Champaign to an orchard and bought a bushel of apples. While there they have a little area for kids as well. Caleb thought feeding the goats was very cool...however he didn't want them to lick his hands so he would throw the food at them. We took all the apples and turned them into to apple pies and apple crisps we put in our freezer.

Lake Evergreen
--This past week has been hard as my grandpa gardner passed away. Being far away and unable to go, my wonderful husband decided to take us out for a little drive to just get away from everything. So we went to a little fishing lake that is only about 20 minutes away. It was peaceful and very beautiful. Caleb loved looking for fish in the water! We ate a nice little dinner and walked around. It was wonderful. Thank you honey!
