Here FISHY FISHY

Since it's Spring Break for the schools, PaPa Gardner took some time off to spend with Grandma. We kidnapped PaPa and took him to the Aquarium to see all the Fish. It was fun. Caleb was enthralled by all the fishes. He really wanted to splash in the stingray tank. He loved the Jelly Fish and the big Shark Tank. Unfortunately his arms were too short to do the petting of the stingray. He couldn't reach the water. We'll have to come back when he gets bigger. Enjoy the pics.

Odds & Ends

So I traded in my old Mitsubishi mirage on Thursday and got a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. It is super nice. Leather seats, On-Star, the works. It is by far the nicest car I've ever owned and people can actually sit next to Caleb in the back without feeling crowded. And I have room for more than just the stroller in the trunk. --No pics yet, but i'll get them soon.

Other than that - life is pretty uneventful for us. We are getting Craig's dissertation finished up to defend in a week or so and then on to graduation and MOVING!!! That's right we moving to Bloomington, IL this summer. We are super excited. Craig will be an Assistant Professor at Illinois Wesleyan University in the Economics Department. We will be part of the Nauvoo temple district (which is super cool) and are only 2 hrs from Chicago, 2 1/2 from St. Louis, 3 from Indianapolis. So we have plenty to go visit.

And because I don't like doing posts without pictures... here are some pics of Caleb in his Grinch outfit Grandpa Broadbent gave him. It won't fit him by Christmas --- so here's what we can do for now.

And a short little video that was too funny! I was putting away St. Patrick's Day decorations and putting out Easter when Caleb found the chicken dance stuffed animal and Sherman went crazy!!!! It's funny.

Dishwasher Dude

Caleb loves to get into the kitchen and "HELP" with anything he can. Especially the dishwasher. You'll get a kick out of this video. Just keep in mind he pulled himself onto the lid all by himself.

Color Me Surprised

Caleb has decided that he might just be interested in Coloring. He has always loved pens and pencils. So I decided to see what he would do with crayons and a coloring book. Well - I was impressed. See what you think!

Music Minstrel

Well you already know how much Caleb loves to drum. So Grandma Gardner bought him this cute drum kit that had maracas and a recorder and a KaZoo. Caleb found the KaZoo right off and figured it out all on his own. KaZooing everywhere as loud as he possibly could. The noise is just obnoxious enough that we leave the whole kit and caboodle :) at Grandma's house. However, not thinking at all about the recorder we have at home. Caleb has always loved to grab it down from the shelf and carry it around but has never tried to play it. Well, he's figured it out and now we have a whistling recorder most of the day. He thinks its great...Mom and Dad however appreciate silence whenever we get it. We do love however that he is quick to figure things out and that he loves instruments. Music is definately a huge part of our lives. It cute. Enjoy the little video!

Diaper Diva

Caleb has learned to open doors, cabinets, and drawers. One of his favorite things to do is to open the drawer to his diapers and pull them all out and put them on the floor. Sometimes he even brings them to us. Its really funny. I caught some cute pictures and a great video. You'll have to pardon the end of it. I was laughing so hard I think the camera shakes a bit.

Dinosaurs and PaPa

PaPa Gardner took us to the IMAX to watch a movie about the Alps ( which Caleb slept through) and then to the Planetarium to watch a show about Dinosaurs. (Caleb squirmed through that). But it was fun at the end to walk around the Natural History Museum for a few minutes and look at the dinosaurs. We even got a picture with Caleb and PaPa with one!

Sleeping Beauty

The only moments I treasure more than cuddle time ... is sleepy time. He is so peaceful when he sleeps and I get a moment without clinging! It's hard to see my little boy no longer a little baby. What a difference a year is!

Great Grandparents Come to Visit

We were so incredibly lucky to have Great Grandpa and Grandma Gardner here over Caleb's birthday. It was fun to spend some time with them. Four generations together for a whole weekend. We had to take a picture!

We love you G4! (Sorry Grandma Great --Craig didn't make sure he could see all of you in the picture!)
