He Walked!!! All Grown Up!!!

Okay..so to some of you it doesn't count - but for us it was amazing. We bought Caleb a walker (walk n' ride type toys) for Christmas... we gave it to him a little early since we can't haul everything up for Christmas and he is bored stiff with his other toys. We've been helping him with the walker making sure it doesn't go too fast and that he doesn't fall...but tonight he took off all by himself - almost running at times to keep up with it. If he fell he just found a way to climb back up and go again. I can't believe my little boy is on the go like that already.

Then when I tried to capture a few still images - he's decided he wants to pose for the camera. So enjoy the happy poser faces!!!

Oh this last one is hysterical. Caleb got a hold of his bottle of sweet potato puffs opened it and dumped the whole thing on the floor to eat them. That little boy of mine is crafty!!!!

But isn't he so stinkin' cute!!!!

The Long Catch Up Post

Okay, so I have been awful at not keeping up these last few weeks. Life has been slightly crazy and it is only going to get crazier from here. Thankfully I have taken pics and videos - just haven't posted them. So, instead of a million little posts - I'm going to string them all together as one super huge long one! ENJOY!

NINJA CALEB
Craig thought it would be funny if he tied the wrapper from a Fruit by the Foot to Caleb's head. Sherman tried hard to take it off to lick it clean. It was so cute.
My Name is Trouble
Caleb has a new past time. Pulling everything off the shelves. He especially loves the books and the music shelf with the instruments on it. He has even figured out how to get the Harmonica out of its case. It's a constant clean up battle with him. It's funny that at times I put him in his crib when he's supposed to be napping.... I find him standing up playing with his Mobile or finding things on the changing table to pull down and play with. Definately Trouble!!!

First Thanksgiving
Caleb's first thanksgiving was quite the day. We hosted with another couple in the ward about 20 people to come over and enjoy thanksgiving. My parents came along with friends from our ward. Craig cooked a 22lb turkey and we had tons left over. We made 8 pies and had all but 2 left over from that too. But in all it was nice to be with friends and family. We enjoyed it. Caleb wore his special outfit that Aunt Melissa bought him. Flannel! My dad was wearing flannel too so they were good friends. It was at Thanksgiving dinner that Caleb began to enjoy chomping on pickles- he ate at least 2.

Mommy, I'm a Big Boy NOW!
So recently we've had issues with Caleb deciding he's going to bite mommy while eating. Needless to say, I'd had more than enough in the PAIN department so we decided to start trying to find other foods and ways of feeding him. It was incredibly funny because it was almost overnight he decided that he didn't want bottles, he wanted to feed himself, and if we were eating he should be eating too. So we decided to go ahead and try the graduates puffs for him to start with since he has two little teeth. He absolutely loves them. We've gone through 2 jars in less than a week. This boy just loves being BIG. He drinks from a sippee cup too. No bottles for Caleb.

Playing with my Puppy
Caleb has started a new thing - he likes to headbutt everything. Including his dog. Poor Sherman gets chased around by Caleb and headbutted quite frequently. It's fun to watch them interact. Caleb just loves his dog. Whether it's chasing him with Daddy's help or doing it all on his own... they are going to be best Friends for life. Sherman will probably appreciate it better when he learns to not smack him around so much.

Holiday Fun

Even though we aren't going to be around much for the Holidays - we decided to go ahead and decorate. For those of you that know me well...you know how much I LOVE Christmas. This year we only put out a few things. But lights were of course among the list. This year we bought these cute Chile pepper covers to go over the lights. We hung them on a strand and had a few left over which caleb found to be ever so tasty! We found it amusing to suction them to his face. It became a game for him to pull them off.

Craig also was brave enough to go out at 4 a.m. Friday morning after thanksgiving to pick up toys for Caleb. What a MAN! We decided to go ahead and let Caleb play with a few of them before Christmas and the rest after we get back from everything since we don't have tons of room to haul it all up to Utah. His first present was a giant ELMO that talks. Neither of us realized how big it was until Craig picked it up. Elmo stands 27" and Caleb is officially 28". He loves it though. They have fun playing together.

Just for the record - Caleb loves "The Grinch". And has found it more than enjoyable to try to pull off all the lights off the tree or the ornaments. He gets told no! He looks at you smiles, laughs a little and then goes right back to doing it. So the last few times i've flicked his behind - he probably could hardly feel it through the diaper - he wells up with big tears and cries and goes right back to playing with the tree. So we say no again...more tears! What a drama KING. "But mom I just want the lights"!

Here is our Family Holiday Photo Too.
Enjoy! And Merry Christmas to ALL!
