Weekend Update

We had the opportunity to go with another family to Nauvoo this weekend. This was Craig's first trip and my second. It was wonderful to have the chance to go through a session together again. It's been awhile. As we were leaving we drove along the Mississippi to head home. I was looking out the window, pointing out ducks to Caleb when all of a sudden out of no where I see a Bald Eagle land in the marsh. I yell at Craig to stop... he pulls a grandpa and backs up down the road and I hopped out to take a few pics.

Then we headed toward Carthage. We stopped to do a quick tour of the jail. It was really neat. I think there was a slight distraction of the spirit of the place as most of the time was spent "Caleb don't touch...no... come back...etc". He seemed to find a great fascination with the fireplace. So the only pictures I got from Carthage are him in the fireplace.

About 30 minutes out from the house, some idiot --- with a trailer had loose concrete on the back --- bounced out a chunk that hit our windshield and cracked it good. The concrete piece was the size of a grapefruit. Scary. Now we have to replace the windshield.
